Once the design is completed and approved by the customer, the plaque will be shipped within 7 to 14 days. Hydra Laser works closely with the customer during the design process to ensure that the plaque best suits their needs, and the price includes up to three edits to ensure that the final product is perfect. The plaque can be used both indoors and outdoors, and custom shapes and sizes such as circles, squares, and hearts are available upon request (please contact us for pricing).

- The design needs to be of high quality and areas engraved to be shown in black
- Designs and photos will be sized to fit onto engraving area.
- For engraving photos onto slate a high-resolution image is required to get the best results (minimum of 300 dpi).
- If you are using a design from the internet, we recommend sending it as an SVG or DXF file via email or by using the upload file function.
- The engraving area must be visible in black and not pixilated if you are using an image or design.
- Please upload the image in the area provided.
- If there are any issues with the image or design provided we will make contact with you.
- Please leave any details such as placement, sizing, word, fonts and orientation in the comments.
- We recommend using a strong adhesive if attaching this to a wall.
- We are able to laser-cut holes for screws or nails if required.

Engraving photos is a delicate process that requires a high-resolution image to achieve the best results. To ensure that your personalised laser engraved memorial plaque is of the highest quality, we recommend sending the original full-size image with a minimum of 300 dpi. It is important to note that if you have a small thumbnail image, it will be blurry when enlarged, and there is little that can be done to fix this.
When selecting an image, zoom in and examine it closely to ensure it is in focus and has a clear background. If you are unsure which image to use, you can email them to us and we will be happy to advise you on the best option for engraving.
We understand that sometimes an image may look good on a small phone screen but not on a regular monitor. Therefore, we recommend reviewing your selected image on a larger screen before submitting it for engraving.
